40 Weeks Today!

What a perfect summer weekend :)

Mike and I had a delicious lunch on Saturday and then walked around Lake Calhoun. The sun was shining and there was not a cloud in the sky! So many people were out - running, walking, lounging on the beaches, playing sand volleyball, sailing on the lake...it was a simply heavenly afternoon :)

We grilled dinner with Natalie and Craig and then loaded up Natalie's convertible with pillows and blankets and headed to the outdoor movie theater. While we weren't too impressed with Hang Over 2, we all had a blast being together. 

We woke up to yet another glorious day! 85 and perfectly sunny - couldn't ask for a more perfect afternoon for Grand Old Day. 

Despite walking for several hours, I didn't have a single contraction... :/ oh well I guess this babe is going to come on its own time!

Memorial Day Weekend

Mike and I had an absolute blast up at the farm - a short trip but well worth it! Exploring with Aaron, catching up with Birdie, playing with Ollie and Pieta, hangin with my mom and dad...beautiful weather, great food, and not one contraction :)

Pedicure - Check.
Brows waxed - Check.
Prenatal massage (courtesy of the best brothers a girl could ask for) - Check.
Car seat installed - Check.
Nursery decorated - Check.
Crib and bassinet ready - Check.
Baby clothes washed - Check.
Apartment cleaned (thanks to the hard work of Judy, Dianne, Anna, Beka and Mikey) - Check.
Baby swing put together - Check.
Hospital bag packed - Check.
Groceries in the cupboards - Check.
Med school application - ....getting there.

Contractions - Check.
Doctor on vacation for the next two weeks - Check.

Just My Luck :)

My golden child of a husband is starting to rub off on me. Not only do I have little to complain about this pregnancy (no heartburn, no stretch marks, no achy muscles or achy joints...the doctor told me I should actually eat MORE...excellent blood pressure...perfect heartbeat) but today I found out that I am actually due a week earlier than I thought!

At my last appointment, the nurse told me my due date was June 13. While for the previous 7 months I had thought my due date was June 11, I wasn't too surprised by the 2-day change in date. I know my mom had multiple due dates when she was pregnant with me...but I was curious as to how they decided to make the change so I asked my nurse today. My nurse had no clue so she asked my nurse practitioner who, turns out, also had no idea where June 13 OR June 11 came from. I guess my due date has been June 6 all along :)

So, as of today, I am 37 weeks and 1 day, measuring in at 37 1/2 weeks. AND the baby is full term. So it could come any day now and we would be more than happy to meet the little babe :)
